Important info for members displaced to PHL from other cities.
As we hope you are aware, our Local Lodge has taken action to become more active politically in PHL. We have strong ties with City Hall and other Unions in the area. One of the reasons we have been successful entering into this arena is the large number of workers (registered voters) in our local. We recommend all our members become more active and aware politically. Obviously voting is key. We'd like you to give some thought about registering to vote locally, here in the PHL area. You can do this by clicking here. This will boost the number of registered voters out of our lodge, and give us more credibility when dealing with local political issues.
If registering locally is not something you'd care to do, then we'd like to ask you to arrange for an absentee ballot if you're going to be in PHL, not your home, on election day. This will ensure your ability to take part in the up coming elections. While the office of President gets most of the spotlight, the other seats to be decided can also have a large impact on our lives. Please take the time to vote.
